I had the pleasure of writing a guest blog article on Brunel Vanguard, a new blog for political discussion designed by Brunel students.
I like to think of myself as politically active – although I do not associate myself with any particular political party, understanding how our society is structured through government is something I see as a necessity, not a hobby or interest.
I truly believe in the transformative power of theatre, so the idea behind the article was to lightly discuss the power theatre has had in the past, and question its power today. This was inspired by a variety of sources – mainly the performance of Audience at the Soho Theatre, as well as various articles about the history of theatre audiences.
